Corrine Day Harper

Corrine is a licensed professional counselor and and a nationally certified counselor, and has worked with couples, families, and individuals for more than 18 years.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling, with an emphasis on marriage and the family, from Arizona State University.

Corrine further specializes in healing trauma.  Her postgraduate skills training consists of Level I, Level II, and advanced trainings in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)  She also completed a three-year extensive training program in Somatic Experiencing, (SE)  Somatic Experiencing is a mind/body therapy that works with the physiology of the central nervous system to calm emotional reactions and heal trauma.  Additionally, she is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques (CBT).

Corrine has completed additional advanced trainings on the topics of remarried families, co-parenting after divorce, single parenting, domestic violence, developmental disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, extramarital relationships, depression, anxiety, and oppositional children.  She is a certified parenting instructor and teaches marriage and family relationship classes.

She is a member of NBCC, the National Board for Certified Counselors, and is licensed as a professional counselor by the state of Arizona
